Over the last year, I have had the pleasure in saying these words, most Sundays, around 12pm.  Corby’s Table has called this beachside escape home for the last year and on August 22nd we officially celebrated 1 year of funk ‘n food!  I usually save my thanks for the end, but today I want to acknowledge the many passionate movers and makers, growers and shakers who’ve sat at my table to share with us everything from their favourite recipes to tips for your kitchen, home and even garden.  From DON BURKE in our Bondi Backyard to the original PR man MAX MARKSON, we’ve had an amazing cast of characters thusfar! 

This show is also made unique with the added stylz of our funkmeister, DJ Jon, who has gone off to create his own table of sorts, but always finds time to join us for a few here, and to my fave daytime drinking partner, Wine Guru Ben Hughes, cheers and here’s to many more.

I tip my hat to the gorgeous staff at BONDI FM who not only keep all of us well watered and fed, but actually make me smile. They seem to have fun no matter what they do. 

But most importantly, what would we be without all of you?  Thank you for always turning up and tuning in.  Your support and feedback is why we do it.  My intent is that what happens at my table will inspire what’s happening at yours...

Last and certainly not least, to our fearless leader Russ...Over a year ago, a slightly delirious with fever, yet genuinely passionate Chef called you to say, “Hey, I’ve an idea for a show...” Thank you seems the obvious choice of words, but it’s so much more. You quite literally gave me the gift of a dream fulfilled.

So in light of this milestone, I want to encourage all of you to pursue one of your dreams this week.  I know that it may sound a little over the top, but I mean it.  Just start the process; you never know where it may lead you.  Hey, if it’s making your first soufflé, all the better!

So here’s to many more meal ideas and prepared and shared together!
